Message from the owner

As a professional picture framer, and a digital photography enthusiast, this seemed the perfect business for me to start. I began framing over ten years ago, and whilst working for a top UK framing company, made frames and mirrors for some of the best hotels and luxury properties in London and throughout the UK. I’ve been using digital cameras since they first became affordable, and although my once high-spec camera is now looking a bit antiquated, it still delivers the goods and won’t be replaced just yet (I used it to take every image on this site). photo framing using underpinner
The ascendancy of digital photography means that more photographs are being taken than ever before, and many people now have a large collection of treasured digital photos. However, many of these photos are never actually produced in physical form, instead, they reside on memory cards and computer hard-drives, and are displayed on screens and monitors. I think that this is a shame, as, personally, I think that a good photograph is often a more interesting and pleasing item to display on one’s walls than an impersonal art print.
I made the decision early on to only stock Forest Stewardship Council approved frame styles because I couldn’t justify starting a business selling products made with wood without this assurance. Unfortunately, safely transporting glazed items does require a fair bit of packaging, so I do ask customers to recycle the cardboard and re-use the bubble wrap wherever possible. photo framing using morso mitre cutter
